Bishop Harvey Spencer

Bishop Harvey Lee Spencer Sr., founded Greater Love Church, the church where “we love you no matter what you are going through” and a nonprofit, Love In Action, both located in the City of Raleigh. He is the 6th of eleven children, the son of late Deacon Thomas Edward and Recy Spencer. Bishop Spencer is a graduate of Mattamuskeet High School, Swanquarter, NC. Bishop Spencer is the owner of Du-Rite Construction. Bishop has assisted the homeless, low-income, and those unfortunate people who have fallen unto untimely hardships.

Bishop has opened the doors of his Church to members of the community to host funerals, gospel singing, ex-offender programs, mentoring programs for girls and boys. Bishop opened the doors to Restorative Practices allowing Campbell Law School and Wake County Public School Systems an opportunity to dialogue with the community. Bishop Spencer is the author of the book, “The Power of Forgiveness.” He wrote and produced his first single, “Give it to God” which is being played on Rejoice radio stations all over the country. The Lord allowed Bishop Spencer to launch out and minister a revival in Joinville, Brazil and a “Healing Crusade” in Manteo, NC. God has sent Bishop Spencer on a mission to preach, to teach, and to disciple. We are not a Church where it is Church as usual. We are on a mission for Jesus Christ to reach souls and preach his gospel. Bishop Spencer has been married to Victoria Berry Spencer over 36 years. Together, they have five adult children and 10 grandchildren.

Bishop has a motto, “Don’t worry, If you see something that you can fix, do it. If you can’t do anything about it, why worry, Give it to God!

Pastor george green

Pastor George N. Green currently serves as the Pastor and Founder of Winds of Change Church Fellowship. Our Pastor is a man of vision and moves to the beat of a different drummer. The very name of our ministry “Winds of Change” speaks volumes to that beat. Our Pastor has served the Body of Christ since being Ordained in 1997 in varied capacities, including: Men’s Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, President – Board of Trustees, Minister, Elder, Adjutant, Administrative Assistant, Director of Elders and Ministers, and now as Pastor and Founder, just to name a few.

Birthed in 2012 by the Holy Spirit, our Pastor heeded the call of Lord to begin to work in his calling as Servant Leader of Winds of Change Church Fellowship. While serving at Abundant Life, he found the bride of his youth, Sis. Queena Singletary Green. From this beautiful union, they have been blessed to have two jubilant children, Zariel and Zakari Green, who faithfully work in the ministry with joy. Pastor Green began this ministry with just his wife, two small children and one additional founding member in March of 2012. Over the past 8 years, Winds of Change has grown and God’s hand continues to use and bless the ministry in the community in which it resides. Pastor Green completely believes in the Word in Psalms 127:1 “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” Under the leadership and tutelage of Pastor Green, we see God doing great things in the city of Apex and the surrounding communities through Winds of Change Church Fellowship.

Pastor Johnnie Darden

Pastor Johnnie M. Darden Sr. dedicated his life to the Lord in December of 1992 at 22 years old and has been serving the Lord for 29 years.

He committed to serve the Lord with his whole heart. He married Freda D. Toddle in 1993 and they have two beautiful children to their union. He received his calling into the ministry in 1995. He wanted to make sure of his calling and accepted his calling in 1997. Minister Darden attended the Church of God In Christ Academy and graduated in 2002 as an Elder. He served as a member of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ for 17 years as a Minister and Elder. He volunteered with the Food Pantry Ministry, served as a High School Age Sunday School Teacher, Street Ministry, and Prison Ministry. Elder Darden loves to serve in the Kingdom of God and believe the greatest titled he can ever receive is a servant of the Most High God.
